Born in France, Dom has always lived in a very musically-inclined family. He quickly took to playing the accordion and a few years later the drums, soon joining local bands.
Back in France, Dom gathered an impressive list of gigs and recording credits over the years playing with named artists like Pierre Schott from the band Raft, Canadian pop singer Fabienne Thibault, Guitar virtuoso Bireli Lagrene, or Cookie Dingler. He also led his own Big Band and taught the drums at the well known 'Ecole des Percussions de Strasbourg'. Dom now lives in London where his work includes British Rock singer Ian Brown, the blues band Texas Flood, American singer and guitar player Jimmy Dillon, some work with The Masters of the House featuring stars from Les Miserables, Phantom of The Opera & Mamma Mia, as well as a few appearances with Paul McCartney! Dom is currently busy with the Jazz Dynamos as well as with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. |
He furthered his professional drumming by studying at the Musicians Institute of Technology in Los Angeles with some of the great players that influenced him over the years. Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd, Chad Smith, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gene Krupa, Jeff Porcaro, or Steve Houghton to name only a few.
